The term PDRB means a "Planning and Design Review Board". Each Village in St. Charles has its own PDRB. Each PDRB oversees the review and approval of some external modifications or improvements within its designated Village in St. Charles. Each PDRB may be comprised of different individuals, and have different management companies, processes, and design guidelines.
All homeowners within the St. Charles community must submit an architectural request application to their Neighborhood HOA and/or the PDRB for any alterations or modifications to the exterior of their property. Approval must be obtained before any changes are made
You should submit your request as soon as you plan any exterior alterations or modifications. No work can begin until you have received approval from the HOA and/or PDRB, depending on the type of project.
Each Village has its own PDRB, and the processes, guidelines, and personnel of each PDRB may not be the same. By way of example only, the following exterior alterations and modifications for any home located within Wooded Glen Village require PDRB approval and a county permit before work can be completed:

Once your application is submitted to the applicable HOA and/or Village PDRB, the HOA and/or PDRB will review it and either approve or deny the request. You will receive notice of the decision, and you will then have to take required steps to obtain a county permit if necessary. REVIEW TIMES WILL VARY. Owners are encouraged to visit the Neighborhood pages on this website and to contact the management companies for the applicable Neighborhood HOA and Village PDRB directly.
